Defendant, Charles Collins, was convicted on April 5, 1974 of delivery of a controlled substance, MCLA 335.341; MSA 18.1070(41), and appeals.
Officer Michael Garrison and Richard Smith, both Caucasian, were engaged in an undercover operation involving narcotics traffic in the black area of Dowagiac. Garrison was a police officer working out of the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and Smith was a civilian observer.
