HALLEY, Chief Justice.

The Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company, a private corporation, hereinafter referred to as plaintiff, commenced this action in the District Court of Latimer County against Deno Maggi and Gwendolyn Maggi, hereinafter referred to as defendants, to condemn certain lands owned by said defendants. Plaintiff sought condemnation of strip of land for use as a right-of-way for the construction of a pipeline. The right of the plaintiff to condemn the land is not challenged.

The jury fixed compensation to the defendants for the land condemned in the amount of $1,500. Plaintiff appeals…
