On August 22, 1922, appellant, Paul Davis Dry Goods Company, employed appellee, an architect, to design and prepare all necessary drawings, plans, and specifications for a five-story- store and office building to be erected at the corner of West Fourth and Commercial Streets in the city of Waterloo, and to supervise the construction thereof.
