Appellants, Nancy Straight and Charles Nichols, appeal the judgment of the Circuit Court of Jackson County in favor of respondent, Richard Koury, for $1,000 in actual damages and $500 in punitive damages for the intentional tort of malicious prosecution. Although Nichols filed a separate notice of appeal, he did not file a separate brief, but joined in the brief of Straight.
