This is a suit brought under the patent act of 1910, as amended July 1, 1918.
The suit involves the alleged infringement of two United States patents, numbers 1178092 and 1223598, granted to William Mills, a British subject, and, as sole and exclusive owner of the patents, plaintiff in the present action. It has been previously established that a British subject may maintain suit against the United States Government for infringement of his United States patents (see Brodie v. United States, 62 C.
