Huel Jesse Thompson appeals from an order denying his motion for reconsideration of the sentence imposed following his guilty plea to first-degree reckless homicide while armed with a dangerous weapon, contrary to secs. 940.02(1) and 939.63(1)(a)2, Stats. Thompson claims that the trial court abused its sentencing discretion by considering his "laudable background" as an aggravating rather than mitigating factor.
