Defendant, Richard Madura, entered a plea of guilty in the circuit court of Lake County to two counts of criminal sexual assault (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, par. 12 — 13(a)(2) (now 720 ILCS 5/12 — 13(a)(2) (West 1992))) and was sentenced to concurrent terms of nine years’ imprisonment. Defendant filed a motion for reconsideration, arguing that the trial court had failed to consider various factors in mitigation pursuant to section 5 — 5—3.1 of the Unified Code of Corrections (Ill.
