MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

BUCKLO, District Judge.

Petitioner Walter Jordan filed a 28 U.S.C. § 2254 Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus challenging his conviction for aggravated battery with a firearm. For the following reasons, the petition is denied.

Background

Following a bench trial in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, Mr. Jordan was convicted of aggravated battery with a firearm and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.
