After a trial by jury, the defendant, Steven Boucino, was convicted of robbery in the first degree, in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4), and larceny in the first degree, in violation of General Statutes § 53a-122 (a) (2). He received a total effective sentence of not less than fifteen nor more than forty years.
