Appellant was sentenced by general court-martial on April 9, 1987 to a bad conduct discharge, two and a half years confinement and reduction to pay grade E-l. He commenced serving his sentence to confinement on that date and, on September 4, 1987, the convening authority approved the sentence as adjudged.
