MILLER, Associate Justice.

Appellant was sentenced on May 13, 1938, in the District Court of the United States for the District of Columbia, to a term of from two to five years, following conviction of a felony, namely, the interstate transportation of stolen property. He served this sentence in penal institutions of the District of Columbia, and was released on January 17, 1942, after having served his maximum sentence, less a good conduct allowance, as provided by law,1 which amounted to 480' days.
