[T]he principal failing occurred in the sailing,

And the Bellman, perplexed and distressed,

Said he had hoped, at least, when the wind blew due East,

The helmsman of the doomed M/Y Wishing Star (the “Wishing Star”) certainly can share the sentiments of Lewis Carroll's Bellman, for had he turned right instead of left, the Wishing Star would not now be lying on the ocean floor.
