BEACH, J.

The plaintiff, Greco Construction, appeals from the judgment of the trial court granting the motion *516of the defendants, Alison Edelman, individually, and as executrix of the estate of Claudia Pearl,1 to dismiss the plaintiffs action for lack of subject matter jurisdiction. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.

The record discloses the following facts. In 2007, the plaintiff commenced an action against the defendants seeking to foreclose on a mechanic’s lien in the amount of $6270 that had been placed on a parcel of real estate owned by the defendants. In its complaint, the…
