CATHELL, Judge.

In this case we address whether a noncustodial parent, receiving social security disability benefits at the time he enters into a child support consent order, is entitled to a modification of child support after his minor child applies for and receives social security disability dependency benefits. We hold that the parent who sought modification of the child support award was unable to show a material change in circumstances justifying the exercise of the court’s discretion to modify the parent’s child support obligation.
