GODBOLD, Senior Circuit Judge.

Lawrence Lanoue appeals from a conviction of the unlawful possession of a firearm by a person previously convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding' one year, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). He was convicted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island after a trial by jury. He raises multiple issues including l)improper venue, 2)double jeopardy, 3)collateral estoppel, 4)the right to have the attorney of his choosing, and 5)vin-dictive prosecution. We have reviewed each assertion and affirm his conviction.
