INTRODUCTION

On March 28, 1996, the plaintiff, Beverly R. Keene, was involved in a car accident with the defendant, David Teten, at the intersection of First Corso and 10th Streets in Nebraska City, Nebraska. The vehicle driven by Teten was owned by the Nebraska City Public Schools (school district). The Cincinnati Insurance Companies (Cincinnati Insurance), the insurer of the vehicle driven by Teten, compensated Keene for the property damage she suffered as a result of the collision.
