BENTON, Judge.

Gerald Wesley Bowman was convicted of four counts each of forgery and uttering, in violation of Code § 18.2-172, and four counts of petit larceny, in violation of Code § 18.2-96. On appeal, Bowman contends the trial judge erred in admitting the testimony of the deceased bank account holder’s executor that the account from which the checks were drawn had been closed by the account holder three years earlier.
