Plaintiff Tawoos Bazargani, a former psychiatrist on staff at defendant Haver-ford State Hospital 1 (“Haverford” or “the hospital”), brought this employment discrimination action alleging that Haverford discriminated against her based upon her national origin and her religion in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (“PHRA”), 43 P.S. § 951 et seq.
