This appeal comes to this court on questions of law from a judgment entered on a verdict of guilty of bribery to the first count of an indictment returned by the Grand Jury of Cuyahoga County. This defendant, with one Herbert D. Burmeister, was indicted for bribery on two counts. The first count of the indictment charged that the defendants solicited and received turkeys and money in the total sum of over $4,000 from one George B. Walker, corruptly, to influence them with respect to their official duties as police officers of the city of Cleveland in the enforcement of the laws and ordinances…
