This appeal is from an adverse decision of the Pulaski County Chancery Court in a taxpayer’s suit to test the constitutionality of Act 85 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas for 1967.

On January 19, 1967, by proper procedure, the 66th General Assembly extended the regular session of the Legislature beyond the period of sixty days and, thereafter duly enacted Act 85, which appropriated revenues to pay the members of the Legislature for their services on a per diem basis of $20.00 per day during the extended portion of the session..
