Robert C. White appeals a grant of summary judgment in favor of the defendants. 707 F.Supp. 579. White, a Captain in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (“MPD”) sued the appellees, the Fraternal Order of Police (“FOP”), The Washington Post Company (“the Post”), and National Broadcasting Company, Inc. (“NBC”) for invasion of privacy and defamation.
