DIMOND, Justice.

Appellant, an officer in the United States Air Force, has been stationed in Alaska under military orders since July 1960. He filed a complaint for a divorce from appel-lee in Pennsylvania, the state of their marriage, in October 1961. Approximately 9 months later, on July 31, 1962, he commenced this action for divorce in the superior court of this state. Appellant’s complaint was dismissed by the court on two grounds: lack of jurisdiction over the subject matter of the action, and the penden-cy of the Pennsylvania divorce proceeding. 1 This appeal followed.
