The overriding issue before this court is whether the Marketable Title Act (act), General Statutes § 47-33b 1 et seq., extinguished the plaintiffs’ equitable claim to an interest in a family farm. The farm was originally owned by Louis Specyalski (Louis) who died intestate in 1962. 2 Louis’ nine children agreed in writing to convey their interests in the farm to one of their siblings, Valentine Specyalski (Valentine). 3 Valentine, now deceased, devised his interest in the farm by his will to the defendant Frank Koba, his nephew.
