The petitioner-mother seeks the determination in habeas corpus of the custody of her daughter. The child is ten years old and is held by the respondent-father, an officer in the army of the United States stationed at Madison Barracks, where both were found at the time the writ was served upon him. Neither parent is a resident of the State of New York.
