The title of the lands known as the Monmouth Beach property, purchased by a number of individuals, was vested in two *330of their number as joint tenants, who held the title in trust for the owners.

By deed dated October 2d, 1871, acknowledged October 11th, 1871, Daniel Dodd and Francis Mackin, the then trustees, conveyed to Richard De Gray lot No. 20, as laid down on the map-of the Monmouth Beach property made by K.
