Jeffrey Tokar appeals from a judgment of the district court 1 granting summary judgment in favor of Bill Armontrout, Robert Drennen, and Myrna E. Trickey, former officials with the Missouri Department of Corrections (the department). We affirm.

Tokar is an HIV-positive individual. From June 1989 to August 1989 and again from September 1991 to November 1991, he was an inmate at the Jefferson City Correctional Center (JCCC) housed in Unit Six, a segregated unit for HIV-positive inmates. 2 Armontrout was warden of JCCC from January 2, 1984 to December 31, 1990;…
