Plaintiff Eric Jackson is a member of the Army National Guard and a former employee of the City of Birmingham. He worked for the City as a parking enforcement officer from February 2012 until the City terminated his employment in August 2014. While working for the City, Mr. Jackson was called to active duty in Afghanistan. When he returned from his military service, Mr. Jackson suffered from PTSD.
