The Chicago and Western Indiana Eailroad Company, on the 31st of March, 1881, filed in the county court of Cook county its petition, praying for the condemnation of certain real estate therein specified, and making Perry H. Smith, Emma Louisa Smith, Anna E. McCormick, and Lucy N. McCormick, the appellants, parties thereto.
