HAWTHORNE, Justice.

This is a possessory action in which plaintiff, Robert Lee Hill, seeks to be restored to, and quieted in, the possession of a tract of land containing 86.65 acres, situated in the Parish of Rapides, and seeks damages in the sum of $6,000 as a result of the alleged wrongful cutting and removing of the timber from the tract. After trial on the merits there was judgment for the plaintiff maintaining and quieting his possession to all of this tract except a portion in the south end thereof.
