Following a jury trial, the defendant, Lloyd Satchwell, was convicted of four counts of arson murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54d,1 and one count each of first degree arson in violation of General Statutes § 53a-lll (a) (l)2 and conspiracy to commit first degree arson in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-48 (a)3 and 53a-lll (a) (1). The trial court rendered judgment sentencing the defendant to a total effective sentence of 120 years imprisonment with no possibility of parole.
