Alfredo M. Pagayon (“Alfredo”) died several weeks after an altercation between himself, his son Alfredo G. Pagayon (“J.R.”), and an ExxonMobil Corporation employee at an ExxonMobil service station/convenience store. ExxonMobil challenges the judgment rendered on the jury’s verdict in favor of Alfredo’s wife, children, and estate (collectively, “the Pa-gayons”) on their claims arising from Alfredo’s death.
