EDWARD WEINFELD, District Judge.
Margarine Verkaufsunion G.m.B.H. (Margarine), the consignee of a shipment of prime cottonseed oil, seeks to recover damages for short delivery and contamination of part of the shipment. Recovery is sought from the vessel, M. T.G.C. Brovig (the Brovig), which carried the shipment from Houston to Rotterdam; her owner, Partrederiet Brovigtank, a Norwegian corporation; and General Navigation Inc., a domestic corporation and the vessel’s charterer under a Tanker Voyage Charter Party entered into with the owner.
