Hyperbole and the game of golf are not strangers to one another.
After a particularly good round, a golfer might describe his long and accurate drives as “pointing ... lasers right at the *1200.. flag all day long.”1 On another day, after a less successful outing, the same golfer might lament repeated errant shots into bunkers, claiming he spent the day on the beach.
