Four defendants were charged with conspiracy 1 to commit abortion. 2 They were tried in a joint trial in the recorder’s court in the city of Detroit. One defendant, Gilbert E. Frank, waived jury trial and was tried by the court. The two defendants, Fred W. Thomas and Alexander A. Pasquinzo, were tried before a jury and convicted; and defendant Frank was found guilty by the trial judge. The other defendant’s ease was dismissed by the court.
