Jacob D. Zien died testate 'April 9, 1909, and his will was duly admitted to probate by the probate court of the county of St. Louis. His principal legatees and devisees were his widow, Mathilda Zien, and his brother, Isaac Zien. It became necessary in the course of the settlement of the estate, for the purpose of paying debts and legacies, to sell real estate which had been devised by the will.
