Genereux v. Pelosi

This is a petition for a writ of habeas corpus directed to the acting superintendent of the state hospital for mental diseases, now known as the Rhode Island medi cal center, and to the warden of the adult correctional institutions. Although the petitioner prayed that the writ be issued to both the acting superintendent and the warden, the writ as issued was directed only to the former and only he has certified pertinent papers to this court. The case is entitled and has been briefed and argued, however, as though the writ issued as prayed for.
