Defendant appeals from an order of the circuit court denying his petition for discharge from the custody of the Director of the Department of Corrections, pursuant to section 9 of “An Act in relation to sexually dangerous persons ***” (the Act) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1987, ch. 38, par. 105 — 9).
