Appellee sued appellant on a benefit certificate issued by appellant to him March 25, 1902," which certificate is as follows: 4

“This certificate witnesseth, that in consideration of all dues and assessments paid, and to be paid, in accordance with the Laws, Rules and Regulations of the Beneficiary Department of the Switchmen’s Union of North America, by Charles G. Colehouse, said Beneficiary Department agrees and undertakes to pay at the time of the death of said Charles G. Colehouse, or in case of his total disability, as defined by said Laws, Rules and Regulations, the sum of money…
