Involved is the validity of a school consolidation between the Joaquin Independent School District and the Strong Common School District. The appellees, John Fincher and eight other residents of the Strong Common School District instituted suit against the appellant, Joaquin Independent School District, in the 123rd District Court of Shelby County.
