OPINION
EHRLICH, Judge.
¶ 1 Robert Francis Russo, Jr., appeals the superior court judgment affirming his municipal court sentences for his violations of Arizona Revised Statutes (AR.S) section 28-1381(A)(1) (2004), driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor (DUI), and A.R.S. section 28-1382(A) (2004), driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or more (extreme DUI). He specifically challenges the constitutionality of the mandatory assessment of $1000 imposed upon him pursuant to A.R.S. § 28-1382(D)(6) and A.R.S. § 41-1651 (2004).
