On April 23, 2008, a Providence County Superior Court jury convicted the defen-
dant, Kenneth Pitts, of one count of disorderly conduct. He has appealed from the judgment of conviction. This case came before the Supreme Court for oral argument on January 27, 2010, pursuant to an order directing the parties to show cause why the issues raised in this appeal should not be summarily decided.
