This is a bill in equity for specific performance of a written agreement in which Philip Stockton and the other trustees under the will of Amos Lawrence agreed to sell, and the defendants to purchase, certain real estate situated at 1838-1844 Washington Street, and 2 Flagg Street, in the city of Boston. At the trial a suggestion was filed of the death of Stockton, and the suit was prosecuted to final decree by the surviving trustees, the present plaintiffs. The case comes before us upon the defendants’ appeal from the final decree entered by direction of the judge, ordering the defendants…
