Plaintiff Barbara Weaver originally filed this action in the Circuit Court for Sumner County, Tennessee on March 22, 2010, asserting claims under state law for promissory estoppel, negligence, and breach of fiduciary duty, and seeking as damages the value of an insurance policy insuring Plaintiffs ex-husband Johnny Weaver, deceased.
