Defendant Gerardo Reyes-Campos, a Mexican citizen, has entered a guilty plea to one count of re-entering the United States after deportation subsequent to a felony conviction in violation of 8 U.S.C.A. § 1326. Reyes-Campos was before the court for sentencing on October 15, 2003, and he filed a motion for a two-level downward departure based on his cultural assimilation to the United States.
