In this action the plaintiff sought to recover a balance claimed to be due from the named defendant and the defendants Edward and Constance Gfondola, husband and wife. The court rendered judgment for the plaintiff against the named defendant. Since only the named defendant *212has appealed, he will hereinafter be referred to as the defendant.
