The defendant, Harry Meister, was convicted of the crime of seducing, under promise of marriage, and of having illicit intercourse with, Emma Olson, an alleged unmarried female of previous chaste character, the indictment charging that the offense was committed in Multnomah County, March 20, 1910, and he appeals from the judgment which followed.
