After a jury trial, the defendant, James Griffin, was convicted of felony murder in violation of General Statutes § dSa-Mc,1 and aiding and abetting robbery in the first degree in violation of General Stat-*197ules §§ 53a-134 (a) (2)2 and 53a-8.3 The trial court rendered judgment4 in accordance with the jury verdict, and the defendant appealed.5 On appeal, the defendant claims that he is entitled to a new trial because: (1) the verdict was against the weight of the evidence; and (2) the trial court improperly instructed the jury on reasonable doubt.
