This is a social security disability case involving a claimant who smokes two packages of cigarettes per day, is overweight, and has a serious circulatory problem. An administrative law judge decided that the claimant was not entitled to benefits. That decision became the final decision of the agency, and the claimant filed suit in federal court. On cross-motions for summary judgment, the district court (Wendell A.
