The Honorable Thomas G. Jones (“Judge Jones”) requested de novo review of the State Commission on Judicial Conduct’s (“the Commission”) order requiring him to take eight hours of additional education.

A Special Court of Review was appointed by the Supreme Court to review the Commission’s order. This Court heard evidence from several witnesses, including Judge Jones, as well as argument from his attorney and the Commission’s attorney. The Court finds, in general terms, that Judge Jones is well intentioned and usually effective in his unorthodox methods.…
