FERRELL, Judge:

Appellant, in accordance with his guilty pleas, was convicted by a special court-martial, military judge alone, of two periods of unauthorized absence in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 886. The military judge sentenced appellant to be reduced to pay grade E-l, to be confined at hard labor for 5 months, to pay a fine of $1667.00, and to be discharged from the Marine Corps with a bad-conduct discharge.
